    I have many friends that are "rennies"...folks who make a living selling crafts at ren faires across the country.

    A common item in many of the permanent structures at fairs that have an upper story is a "rope bed"...cheap, easy way to avoid actually using a mattress and box springs in an environment that's closed up several months out of the year.

    This is the same thing, only on a large scale. Hope he's got a lot of faith in his knotwork!
