how to post a clickable thumbnail

to preserve bandwith, i want to be able to post clickable thumbnails. i either end up with just a link, a full size image or an unclickable thumbnail. i want to be able to do it from the hf gallery, not other sites. i know it can be done! help!

After loading pictures into the HF gallery, go to a picture that you want to show as a thumbnail & click on it.
It will show you a larger version with more info.
Look down at the bottom of the info below the picture you will see BB Image Code: To the right of that is a box with a long line of info (URL I think it's called).
Copy that & proceed back to the thread were you want to paste it, then paste it were you want the thumbnail in you post.

Note; The URL is longer than what you see at any given time in the box, so you have to scroll while copying. But sometimes, for some reason, it doesn't want to scroll when I get to the edge, so I have to abort the copy, right click in that area as if I were going to type, then hold the space bar to make the thing move to the unseen end.
Some of the computer educated here can explain in a much better way than I did though
I too will something make and joy in it's making

Here is my attempt: I used a random pic from the home page. Also, I triple clicked on the code instead of scrolling.

ctrl-a is a shortcut for select all, so i usually press ctrl-a followed by ctrl-c to copy the url. still, it fails to create a thumbnail in the message body grrr...

Or, if it does not select the entire box when you place your cursor there, once you have your cursor anywhere in the box, you can just press "Ctrl A" and it will select the whole box. Then "Ctrl C" copies it. Once you are back in your post "Ctrl V" pastes it. Just another way to get er done.

Have a question of my own, but will post new thread so as not to hijack.

EDIT: Kobold, LOL! We were typing the same thing at about the same time, I stopped for breakfast before clicking "submit"! So, what Kobold said!

i think i found something. how come when i click on 'slowhike' or 'shug' the last menu item is 'view gallery uploads' and in my case that is missing? i created two galleries with over a dozen images. tia!

wait, what i created are called albums, not gallery... hmmm... how do i create galleries then? and why can't i create clickable thumbnails from my albums?
