    Cheap pad idea

I was just thinking, as i dont have a pad or an UQ yet and i'm still learning, would the reflector for my windsheild work as pad if i doubled it with an uq? Its super light and mine cost 3 bucks at winco seasonal stuff area. Hopefully its not a dumb question!

They work great. I have been using them for 8 years now. Use the foam type not the bubble wrap type for best results.

the edges are sharp and can cut nylon. i used 8 lb carpet padding in the beginning that i got from dumpster.
you mentioned nothing about temps so i may of been no help.

I tried one of the shinny silver bubble pack reflectors from Walmart and had condensation issues big time.

I've used the windshield reflector. I like it. I use it as a sit pad. Stick my my freezer bag meal it, acts like a cozzie. Use it as a booster for the uq.
    It packs light and small.
    Condensation can be problem.

Put a layer of any clothing between you and the reflectix and it'll cut down on the condensation quite a bit.
