That's awesome, I was thinking about similar idea but doing like tent doors with the weather shell and another zipper. But your idea is much better! Now I just have to keep working on my sewing skills...

Well Rip, I want to thank you and your excellent review especially in view of losing your precious companion, but you cost me money as I've just ordered an 11ft danger bird, when do we reach saturation point in our stuff, Randy adds to the problem as, like many of our cottage industry vendors, makes it so easy and are so good to work with, anyway excited but will patiently wait for the last piece of gear i'll ever need ), yeah, even I don't believe that. I smile to myself when I see someone who has just found this excellent forum, the smile comes because I know shortly they will be lighting up their paypal accounts. I'd like to see a post on all the gear, especially the extra gear we've all acquired and haven't or don't use. If I took everything with me to a hang, I'd have to load the trailer that Old Gringo got for me, as someone expressed, it's an addiction, Rip truly, your overview was outstanding thanks, jim r

glad to feed the fuel. i'm in the same boat - always trying to whittle down gear, but in the end only to replace one for another. congrats on the dangerBIRD- the hammock to end the quest.....? probably not.

Can't wait to add a little Neil Young riff to my droid alarm clock! Can't wait to hear the scouts ask "Who sings that Dangerbird song?" "Neil who?" "He sounds sick" "Yeah, sick in a bad way, not sick as in 'sick dude'"
Oh well, their loss...hey, hey, my my....

Danger Bird is the second song on side one of Neil Young's album Zuma.
    Music inspiration works great

This is a great Hammock innovation and will greatly help the DIY folks as well as an inspiration for other innovations

    Thanks PapaSmurf for sharing
