What is the seem sealing everyone is talking about?
The Superfly is two sheets of silnylon sewn together with a rolled seam. It is sewn over with some grossgrain by Brandon. When you look at the Superfly, you'll notice a black ridgeline running down the top, separating the two sides.
Most people have found it to be waterproof; however, there are some of us that are 'compulsive' and we seam seal down the underside of this seam with something like "McNetts". You can also use the silicone sealant to seal up the tarp tie-outs. These are rounded patched in the middle, which are sewn through. Without a lot of water pressure, it's unlikely that the water will get through the stitching; however, if you're compulsive enough to seal the seam, then you'll likely seal the pull outs too.
