Anyone make one up to go with a 3/4 UQ or other scenario?
If so, what was the end result?

I use a 3/4 length under pad but I think it would work just as well for me. I may have to give it a go.

I'm thinking of a foil taped taped foot box...(lookin at your feet - 12" H X 18" W x 20" L.

Generally you don't really need the extra non-compressible insulation above or beside your feet. Your sleeping bag or quilt does a pretty good job of keeping that area warm. It's just the space below your calves/heels that gets chilly because you've compressed the insulation in your footbox. A small piece of foam or reflectix works fine for this, as does a pair of down or synthetic booties or thick socks.
I made a "love handle warmer" that I wore around my torso when sitting around the campfire and it worked great for that. when I got in the hammock I just put it under my feet and they were toasty all night! bad thing was that my top quilt was wet with condensation in the morning (only where the reflectix was)

I use my reflectix food cozy/sit pad/foot warmer. Just shove it down in the bottom of my top quilt in cold weather. It helps reflect the heat back to the bottom of my feet.
In one of Shug's videos he puts a piece of Reflectix in his footbox. You could supplement that in colder weather with a ccf pad or something to give you more insulation where the 3/4 UQ doesn't cover.
I'm testing a ccf blue pad in the footbox tonite, but it's only 32 degrees. I'll let you know what I learn when it gets to zero some day soon.
I wonder if anyone could get their hands on that new material that Columbia puts in all their jackets now. That would be an awesome project and save on weight.

I would be interested in that feedback.
Thanks all!
