    Life Span of Sil

Does anyone know what sort of life span sil has? I have only had my tarp for a year now, but have put some nights on it. I used it last night in a long rain and this morning to wait out a downpour. It is still water tight, but it doesn't have the feel it once did. I would just like to replace it before it lets me down at a bad time.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?

I think while you were on trail someone mentioned treating them with a good coating of a Silicone spray might help them last.

don't know. that would be a good question to ask several people & get a "collective" opinion.
i'm sure it will vary according to a number of things... sun light, etc.

i've had my ray way tarp since 2005, but it only sees the light of day a few times a year.
