I just ordered a custom "Roamlng Gnome" from Papa Smurf. It's 12ft long and 6ft wide. Got a custom sock from MacEntyre to pair up with it. Haven't seen it yet (it's on its way). Looks pretty darn comfy. Check out Mac's video.

I've been hanging my heavy frame in 1.1 oz single layer DIY hammocks for years with no problems at all. I recall the heavy loads that my 0.75 oz ripstop spinnaker saw, in 20 knots of wind, without failure, and rest easy.

I make DIY hammocks 11' long. I don't think 12' is a radically long hammock, or that 64" is a radically wide hammock.

A couple of years ago, I gave a 11'x5' DIY single layer 1.1 oz hammock to a tall mother who hangs with her daughter. Learned later that they really enjoy it, and have developed their own method of hanging together. Daughter uses a HH and hangs above momma between the same trees. She actually steps into momma's 1.1 oz single layer DIY hammock to get into her HH BEEP!

Wow! That sounds pretty amazing. Not exactly a lightweight hammock but I bet it's comfy.
