Have a question for the folks who have made their own TQ's.
I've asked for 4 yards of Climashield Apex and some 1.1 oz ripstop for Christmas next weekand based on the packages that have been deliverred to our porch it appears that Mrs. Clause has come through.
Shortly after Christmas I'm planning on converting part of the ripstop and insulation into a TQ and the remainder to a 'close to full length as possible' UQ. The TQ will be gathered at the foot to form the footbox rather than having a sewn-in circular or rectangular foot box.
That said, is there any general rule for deciding your TQ length? I'm 5' 8" (68 inches) and like to be able to tuck my TQ in over and around my shoulders. I'm thinking a 72" (finished length) TQ would be plenty and would leave me with enough material to make a full length UQ as well.
Thoughts?
