    Christmas Presents

Courtesy of Mr. Mastercard, and for being such a good boy this year, Santa just let me order a ULA Ohm

Interested to know if others out in Hammock land have treated themselves to something Hammocky, Backpacky or Stovey this Xmas? What'd you decide on? Or perhaps you're expecting something? What Hammock/BackPack/Gear item are you wishing for?

Merry Christmas & have a very Hang'y New Year!

A few of odds and ends.

Got my first Mora (840g), Petzl E-Lite, JRB Sleeves, MontBell Ex Light Vest, uhh...

Oh, and a GTUL & MacCat Standard that my girlfriend or one of my buddies can use - so maybe I can get them on a few more camping trips next year.

My Christmas present came last weekend, I had, over the fall, put together a basic cold weather kit for my son hoping to get him interested in hanging and the Ohang on the 16th was his first ever hang. He was instantly won over to hammocking as well as very enthusiastic about the DIY possibilities. I'm really looking forward to more outings with him in the future. I'm especially grateful to have introduced him to a pretty nice bunch of HF folks.

    Merry Christmas,

    David

Wrapped under the tree is a OES 4 season silnylon tarp. I don't worry too much about weight for winter but wanted the shutdown capabilities. Eyeing a few things for after Christmas though.

We'll see if I get anything...my parents, at any rate, are more inclined to get me furniture so I can start unpacking all the crap that's still in boxes at my house. Don't they understand that house is only for a few years, but hammocking is forever?

I am giving away two DIY hammocks though. One I gave at a lab White Elephant game at work, the other I should be finishing work on tonight and giving to my uncle. He's a birdwatcher, not really a hiker, but I figure it should have some applications whereever the heck he goes to look for birds.
