"Mother Gue", I says "the Rocky Mountains is the marrow of the world," and by God, I was right. Keep your nose in the wind and your eye along the skyline.

Thanks all for the warm welcome. Ocala sounds good. Yukon & 2Questions, I don't think I'm the "infamous" one. Prob not me in Pa but I'll try to live up to the title.

    Welcome Stumpknocker

We met this summer, betweet StonyBrook Shelter and Cooper Lodge Shelter on the AT, you were with Mrs Gorp, and on your way to retreive Cimmeron for the night.

This is a great community of folks with lots of information, and ideas costing $ if you let it

But rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting,
    Woo Hoo!....What a Ride!

Speaking of meeting people TZBrown, do you remember meeting Raiffnuke and I just south of the summit of Mt. Greylock this summer? We camped at the same spot as you and you told us about your DIY Blackbird. How did the rest of your hike go?

Welcome to the forum. It looks like you or your trail name gets all over.
I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. - E. B. White (1899 - 1985)
