    Hello from NH

    Hey All,

    I've been waiting to get into hammocking for a while. Finally got most all of what I needed for Christmas. I received the Grand Trunk Nano-7, whoopie slings, tree straps and toggles, and a Z-Packs cuben hammock tarp.

    Just made my soft shackle prussiks over the weekend to attach my tarp - we'll just say they came out okay...

    Definitely looking forward to finally being able to hang, but will probably need to wait until the weather warms up. Will probably start with a pad until I can pick up an UQ. I'm also a member over at BPL so weight is of high importance to me as I'm currently in the sub 7 lb. range and nearing sub 5 which is the next goal.

    Welcome.

    I left the 603 forty years ago. I miss the White Mountains and the white water canoeing. Spent my summers as a kid "stealth camping" around Lake Massabesic.

    But I can go camping round here in January wearing a tee shirt during the day, so its kind of a wash.
