Mine is the English transliteration of the lexical entry for a Greek word. It's pronounced "perry-pa-tay-Oh"!

It means to walk about. It's from Galatians 5, meaning that we should walk by the Spirit of God.

Thanks! Although reading it after I wrote it makes it sound über-nerdy. But I suppose I am.

RamenShamen is a trail name a guy gave me when he saw the magic I can do with said noodles along the trail. Yes, I am fully aware that shaman is with to "a's", but that's what happens when fat-fingers go on auto-pilot.

I have got stung on my first 10 to 12 backpacking trips by Yellow Jackets. Now I just see the nests. Thus my trail name is Yellow Jacket

Mine is an old nickname from years ago, with Poppa added due to my 5 grandkids! And some (friends? LOL) say that I do look like a Griz.. so...
