I made Self tensioning guy lines from 1.75 lash-it. They are about 10 ft long fully extended.

6' Kelty Triptease Lightline on four corners, plus 2, 6' extensions for porch mode or steep sites.
I THOUGHT GETTING OLDER WOULD TAKE MUCH LONGER.
lash-it and z-line, 10ft everywhere
8' 1.75mm Zing It/Lash It
I have 5' sections of zing it for tie outs and 3 doors, shock cord on one door. Probably go with 2 8' zing it pieces and 4 pieces of 2-3' shock cord for the pullouts.
Also have 4 extenders for the 4 corners for versatility where the sitaution merits.
I also don't take my lines off my tarp when I store it, shorter line is easier to deal with for me.
10' zing it with loops spliced in each end for daisy chaining together.
Good luck,

I use the Figure 9 guy-line kit. The line that that it comes with is 8', reflective, and 1.75mm (I think)

I too have the Nite Ize Figure 9 Guy Line set, which includes (4) 8' pieces of reflective 2.5mm line (not sure what kind it is or weight at the momen), 4 black plastic figure 9's (2g each), They work great, but they are too long and I would like to speed up my setup and lighten my load anyway I can. I have never used the entire 8' section of line. I will try the porch setup for summer and see if I end up using 8'.
Would 4' pieces be long enough?
Continued feedback on this would be very much appreciated, thanks!
Thanks!
