    How to attach Whoopie Slings

I do not know if this has already been asked but I just got my Whoopie slings and I wanna put them on my ENO DN and I was wondering how do yall attach them to the hammock? I have seen one video where the person just runs the sling through and another where the person loops it twice. I wanna know which way is better?

Because the diameter of Amsteel is so small , I passed mine through twice . I just converted a friend's ENO this past weekend and just removed the "S" hooks and larks headed the whoopies to the original line.

The difference is one method uses the sewn channel to support your weight while the other distributes it over the material itself but shortening the length of the hammock slightly. Either way is fine, but I use the second method as I am a "full figured" hanger.

Are you meaning to say the Line makes two laps through the channel vs just one? If so , I prefer making two laps through the channel as this gives more contact area.

Tompatt, the other way is to run a short piece of cord through the channel and tie it tightly in a knot just to create a ball of material, then tie the sling to the hammock as if it did not have a channeled end, wrapping the fixed end of the sling 2 or 3 times around and pulling the adjustable end through the eye. Theoretically stronger than depending on three lines of stitching, but certainly not necessary. Probably overkill for all but us fat boys.

I'm going to post here so I'm subscribed. I'll post an illustration from my book later. I have a few illustrations that show how you can do this.
