Just my point of view---Yes you can feed it through the end loop.. But i didnt really like what appeared to be a lot of pressure on the strap ends doing it that.. I got 2 dutch clips(weigh next to nothing) and the straps just seem happier plus a little faster to set up(as stated in the post above)... And a world with happy straps is a great place..

Currently I'm using climbers webbing with an overhand loop and didn't know if a strap loop can take the stress.
The loops on the simple sling are super reinforced, they make these specifically for this purpose. just a few wraps around a smaller tree, and it will tighten on itself. I use a biner in the wrapped end to attach my whoopie slings, but it's not necessary. Toggles work just fine too. the slings are low impact on the tree, which is the best part. I like the option of choosing my own dimentions in a product as well, great selling point. i'm not sold on the dutch loops yet. just not my thing.

Frankly, it would have never occurred to me to do anything other than feed the other end through the loop. Then again, some people don't trust a marlin spike hitch and toggle, which boggles my mind. To each their own.

I like the bullet belt pattern on that 1" strap. If I didn't go crazy making a bunch of my own I'd order some. Then again, all my DIY ones are about 5' long so maybe I need some bigger ones anyway.
