    PA Grand Canyon Hang

Anybody interested in hanging around the Grand Canyon of PA? I don't live terribly far from there so I would be willing to scout out some possible hanging spots and set something up. To stay in one place more than one day we would need a permit. They cost nothing and are very easy to obtain.

The other option would be to hike along the West Rim Trail which is a total of 30 miles along the West rim of the canyon. Hence the name.

I don't have a date for this, just flying the flag to see who salutes so to speak.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

Can you post some info about this area (Google maps or something?) And what dates are you thinking about?

    Thanks.

    There's a pic for starters.

As far as a date.... summer would work but Autumn could be glorious. It depends on the weather we have. Lots of leaf peepers around in the fall.

Thanks for the picture. Looks fantastic. I don't know what I'll be doing this Autumn, but maybe a trip to PA would be in order...

If that don't stir the pot... nothing will.

I'd be interested, depending on the dates. It's about a 6hr. drive for me.
I've hiked the West Rim Trail, very nice, worth doing, not a lot of good campsites for ground dwellers but good trees everywhere.

I may be interested too depending on date. We were there last year and I picked up the trail guide for the West Rim trail.

I have done the West Rim Trail before. It would be a great place for a group hike. I am in, let me know dates.

I have done the West Rim Trail and would love to do a group hike. Summer would be good since we will have the fall hang. Although Summer is almost here so you better plan it fast.
