I hate to say this and I've gone back and forth on saying anything. There may be a delay in the images. Today my family had a near tragedy that may shake things up for some time. I have no way of knowing what the next few days will hold. Thursday may shed more light but it will be a tense period until then. My deepest apologies and I promise to do my best to ensure a timely posting. Suffice to say that I've had the euphoric feeling I left Buck Lake with kicked abruptly out from under me.

We are praying for you Jax. The pictures will eventually get here but they can wait for the more important matters of family. Take your time, you don't need any additional pressure. Thank you for being there and taking all those pictures!

I won one of Richtorfla fine alky stoves complete with pot stand and wind screen. Also, a Grizzly Adams pill box stove with the carbon felt. Then came the char-cloth and finally, the Dutch Buckles already set up on a pair of camo straps!

I find it fitting that the prizes went to the people that needed them the most. Shannan got down slippers for his cold feet, Sandy Kayak who forgot of all things, to pack her hammock - won a hammock! And Samsara who has become a recent hanger and needed an underquilt, won one from HammockGear.

You had to be there to see the excitement in the children's faces during the "children only" raffle. They beamed brighter than the sun. Thanks to OldDog for thinking of the kids long before the hang and coming with all their prizes! To me, it symbolized the gift of a love of the outdoors, handed down to the young generation from the not-so-young generation.
