    Alaska Fishng Trip

These pics were taken from a $69 Radio Shack camer I bought right before my trip a couple of years ago. We camped by the river and it was incredible. I was a ground pounder in those days and probably would still use a tent with some company. I would feel like a burrito hanging out there all night. Could you imagine the first "sniff?" We would see anywhere from 5 to 12 bears at any given time. Our trip lasted about 7 days camping. I have more pics if anyone wold like to see them. The funny thing about the pics is that the folks who came to view the bears with multi thousand dollar cameras could not believe my shots. I wish I had a picture of my Dad walking out to pee one morning and the bear was standing at the tent door.

    Awesome!

My other half and I spent three weeks visiting her mother this last summer. We decided to limit the amount of fish we brought home to no more than 50lbs (baggage weight limit). Sadly, we didn't want to have to may more for additional baggage charges as I brought eight weeks worth of stuff in my REI Flash Fifty (I had been in Montana visiting my father for five weeks before meeting up with my wife in AK) so it was carefully packed and sized for carry-on and the fish counted as my "baggage". We still have at least 25lbs of salmon!

We packed clothes in coolers and threw them away at the end of the trip. Each person brought 80# of fish home in two coolers.

Actually on a road trip to Nfld we found it better to pack the cooler with beer and some food. Had some nice sea trout to replace it with!

Amazing. Loved my trip to Alaska in 2010. Wife and I plan to return this year if we can get our scheduling worked out.
