    You need at least 4 to set it up without the doors deployed, but with the panel pulls you may need as many as 12, if you don't have trees or other tie outs that you can tie to.

    you can get by with 6 stakes pretty easy if you want

    4 for the the corners
    2 for the the panel pulls if you run both pulls on each side to the same stake

    the bottom door corners will clip across to the opposite corner pull out if you rig it with a bit of cordage and mitten clips or something similar

    shhh... I've been looking for an excuse to buy ti stakes anyway. I weighed my normal aluminum ones for my tent, and they are about .55 oz. So going Ti will save me some good weight at 12 stakes.
