    sewing thread

Sorry if this has been posted before. This is not a thread about sewing, but rather what type of thread do you use to sew your hammock together. It seems to me in a gathered end hammock any thread will do, as were a bridge my require something stronger. What do you think?

Gutermann is the most popular, but any quality polyester thread is the way to go.

Polyester thread for sure, cotton thread will deteriorate over time. Gutterman is the most popular option and the good stuff is available from several of us vendors here at HF that supply high quality gear for DIY.
