I have just learned about these new emergency reflective bivy sacks that are BREATHABLE. This one: SOL Escape comes with a one-third length side-zipper. The video says it's more durable than their 3 ounce emergency blankets. Does anyone have any experience using a breathable emergency blanket in a hammock as their primary insulating system?

To be honest, at $50, I'm just arm-chair quarterbacking. I would probably never pull the trigger on such an unconventional idea. Although the potential weight saving is very tempting! Thoughts?
