I am so very jealous of not only you hiking, but also of you both using the DangerBirds. I'm green with envy right now... LOL....
Good luck, and have a super fantastic time. One of these days I will do it.
    Happy Hangin!!!

. . . .when you find yourself under a pile of un-repackaged food in the middle of maildrop packing purgatory with no end in sight.

Good luck on your trek. The AT is one that I've been wanting to do for years, but I can't pull myself away from my family that amount of time right now. When my daughter is older I hope to be able to take her with me as she is my little hiking buddy.

6 boxes of food all over the place are now separated into 7 neat maildrops. Let the repackaging begin!

I am planning on beginning on March 24, 2012. Almost 1 week away, can't wait! No mail drops for me, I'm not a great planner.

Out of curiosity, are you all taking underquilts or sleeping pads? I am sticking to my underquilt so I guess I'll just have to suck it up if I ever sleep in a shelter.

    Good Luck!

My wife and I will be sporting HG Incubators.....may switch to IX UQs when it gets warm enough. I may buy a cheap pad when I get to the Smokies but at that time of year, with those crowds, I doubt I'll need it.

My brother and I are doing a section in Virginia going south leaving Harper's Ferry at the end of April. Maybe we will bump into some of you going north along the way. I am taking a bag and pad, not sure what my brother is doing for insulation.

Hey, jealous you are already getting on the trail! You take your time and maybe we can swing a day or two. Look forward to following you and hope the trail brings you some great days.
