    Announcement: Dream Hammock

Ok, don't tell nobody, but I'm finally starting to catch up and have my head above water again. Just a couple more orders to build yet.

    So......
I added the first of several stock versions of the DangerBird up on the site.
    http://www.dream-hammock.com/#ecwid:...oduct=10412846

Same rules apply - First come, first served.

I will begin adding additional sizes and features as I get to them, as well as the RoamingGnome models.

After I'm finished adding all the different sizes and options, I'll start adding the ability to build your custom DangerBird.

    Thanks
    Randy Smith "PapaSmurf"

    Hi Randy,

Just wondering if I'm still in the list or if I should be watching for the option for a custom Dangerbird on your site.

    Thanks

I'd be watching the site. The list of inquiries is completely unmanageable, but the list of paid confirmed orders is almost gone.

I apologize for the confusion, but it got WAY too crazy for me to keep up with.

Handsome and well-organized web-page, Randy. Good design, good design, good design.

RE: Some of your own comments above:

Maybe you can solicit comment and comparisons from some clients who can answer the questions you may be deluged with about your polyester-bed hammocks.

ie "How does this compare in feel to -------". If you have some client-comparisons in their own words , which you might edit for clarity before the clients sign off on the final versions, then time you need for R & D is freed up.

Cool aside, I am interested because I started with what I take to be the relatively stiff-bedded Clark hammocks, and have not been so taken with stretchier hammocks, even if they can tout some weight savings from lighter fabrics. A DWR top coat / layer? Of course, and as you note, so do I use mine draped over the TQ in cold weather. (I think there's much confusion of stuffiness and the stale odor of exhaled air for warmth.)

Well If you like looking at Dangerbirds...you can look at mine which arrived today, shown in it's various stages of regalia! It's impecibly made and weighs 1lb 14oz including bag, 10' straps and cinch buckles. I couldn't be happier. This was a journey getting this bird here which I won't bore you with the details. Suffice it to say the customer service at Dream Hammocks is as good as their products.

Thank you VERY much Papa Smurf! My wife and I are leaving in about a week and a half for our AT hike and we will both be sporting Dangerbirds. I'm stoked!

BTW...the tarp is a Big Daddy which I'm equally happy with and the UQ is a Hammock Gear Incubator. There's some serious coverage and warmth there.
