How to stop rain from running down suspension

I cut 8 inches of 1.75 Zing-it, did a Cow-Hitch to attach it to the whoopie. I slide them up and down so they are a few inches inside the tarp. My gear has been hanging out for about 3 months in Texas Winter (we have gotten TWICE the normal rainfall) and everything stayed dry.

Thanks for all of the ideas. I like keeping things simple so attaching a line to the whoopie sling seems to be the way to go. We are heading out in a few hours for a weekend camping trip. Looks likes it may rain all weekend, so I'll get to put this to the test. Thanks again.

The little plastic potato sack ties. plastic tab clips on line, and the little tag hangs down to make a fine drip tail.

Weighs nothing, costs less.

And which products would that be, Cranky Bear? the only Dutchware product that I've heard would do this is the whoopie hook, though Dutch doesn't advertise it as a drip preventer. I think GLP said the whoopie hook would stop the water from getting any further.

Also water won't get past the Dutch Biner.

Whoopie Hook, Dutch Biner, or Dutch Donut (would have to contact him for this one)! Any of these will stop the water from continuing down to the hammock as long as the piece of hardware is under the tarp and not out in the rain!

I was standing next to Dutch in the rain watching water drip off his suspension, as he said "hey look at this, it works "!

Having a drip line there works great and has proven it's worth greatly, but, I for one choose to pack my soaking wet suspension separate from my nice and dry hammock (and other dry items in my pack)! To do this one must have a modular suspension (one that can separate) which allows me to pack up (and set up) my stuff from under my tarp, thus keeping me dry and my items wanted to keep dry, staying that way!

By me using Dutch's products I am getting exactly what "I" need and "I" am supporting a fellow HF member/cottage maker (vendor)/friend!

+1 to Cranky's comment about modular suspension. Rain Break, and easy setup for the win!
