I've gone 3 seasons thus far; spring summer and fall. I haven't done winter yet because up until just a couple months ago, I lacked good underinsulation. I am definitely planning on trying to make the HF Winter hang this year and definitely looking forward to it. I'm with a lot of you guys for sure, I'd much rather hang in cool or cold weather than hot.

Since you were looking for ranges I voted for spring and fall, but actually it is spring, summer, and fall, which wasn't an option. The days are too short and the nights too long in the winter time. And, my discretionary days off from work in the winter are dedicated to family holiday get togethers 300 miles away.

Hammocking? All year, the colder, the better. Only got out on a few 19 deg. nights last winter, hope to get out into the worst of it this season. Thanks to HF, it's going to be a great winter.

I began my hanging last fall and went all throughout the winter, it was a good time for learning as fast as possible. Buy the quilt and be done with it. Mule

I am still in the aquisiton fase of the Hammock Life, and so really only hang in the summer and late spring, early fall. Of course, this far north, we really do not hang in Dec, Jan, Feb, when the temps can get to -40* (same in both celsius or farenheit) I look forward to extending the seasons by better insulation methods, such as DIY underquilts, etc.

I'm "Hardcore" & hang year round. Don't really care about the weather one way or the other. So far coldest temp has been 5deg, warmest 92deg.

I tried to "go to ground" ONE time since going to the trees, froze my a** off at a piddly 45deg. I'll never go back down!!!

4 seasons. cold is fine -- Hot and continuing cold windy rain-sleet are not.

Been down to about 20 a few times, often in the 26-30 range.

FAR more preferred than 70 and up.
