    Karo Step quilt finished!

Well her it is. Just finished up my first attempt working with down and Karo step. Materials 1.1 green and forest green from DIY (thank you) 12 oz./800 down from Wilderness Logics (thank you). Used Karo 12/6 step pattern and about 12 hours total, yes I'm slow. Can't wait to give it a test drive.

I was shooting for 20's. Don't know if I want to be out in 20's but that's what I was going for.

The quilt looks great! 12 oz of 800 down fill should get you way below 20 unless the quilt is made for the jolly green giant!

I like going slow when I'm making gear. That way it's a longer interval of time between my mistakes and that makes me feel better!

Looks real nice. A Karo step topquilt is on my to do list. I've already got the down. Just saving for the rest of the mats. Hard to tell from the pic, is the foot box sewn, snapped or velcro? Any tips or suggestions for someone else venturing down this road? Did you follow any particular instructions? Anything you'd do different?
    Thanks,
    scum

1.The foot box is draw cord and velcro.
2.I pretty much followed TeeDee and animalcontrol plans.
    3. Have lots of patience and take your time.
    4. Might change the foot box design because I have noticed when getting in it when in hammock velcro has tendency to come apart a little,(maybe just my big feet).
