    No Excuses!

Since I became a hanger, I've talked to some of my friends and family who camp about my expirience. Most of my family lives out west, and I've have heard a time to many "hammocks aren't possible... we don't have trees." Well, enough I say! I just came back from a trip to the badlands... and i lugged my hammock around on my short hikes just to prove them wrong. Hanging without trees IS possible, You just have to know what youre looking for. I found two small rocks jutting out from the side of a hill, about 11 feet apart. Setting up the hammock almost straight across the rocks to compensate for their shortness, I pulled it off. So all those people out there who don't think hanging is possible in the desert, I say NO EXCUSES

Fantastic!!! It is amazing what a little ingenuity and a determination not to sleep on the ground can accomplish. Great pictures.
