Good call Detail Man. Those links are quite weak unless you close the gate.

I made this a while back with a culmination all the info gathered here and modified to what would work for me, and have been meaning to post some photo's for a while. I cut my 2"x2"x8's to 7' slightly taller than the standard 6'. I recycled the stock suspension line from my CJH NX-250 and did a double 3 strand eye splices prussicked to the support bar. Instead of the standard fence pipe I used 2 6' electrical conduit pipes with a threaded connector to allow a little more portability although I think they may be slightly heavier, it makes it easy to just screw/ unscrew the 2 pieces together for quick assembley and storage. I then wrapped the pipe with woodland cammo wrap.

Looks good Mannowar. The camo tape is a nice touch. I noticed you mitered the legs and used limit lines on the stands. Don't know that I've seen that before. I like it.

Thanks, I had some extra paracord laying around and figured you can't go wrong with extra safety features. Plus I use it to wrap the legs when collapsed for storage to keep it nice and tight.

Unseen in the photo are the 4" ranger bands I made and slipped over the bottoms of the legs; dual purpose keeps the legs from sliding/ moving around when set up in my garage and adds some moisture proofing when set up in wet grass.

I know I built it big, but my thought was I could always cut the legs down if they aren't working or got beat up. Also, I wanted to keep span-limiters up high so I could use them as clothes lines, or to hang a grav-feed system.
