    Climashield apex UQ

    Woohoo! 1st synthetic UQ!

Slightly over-cut on the top to allow for loft of the one layer of 5 oz climashield apex.

I have 1/8 inch shock-cord along all sides and i just pull them tighter depending on if it's me or my fiance and i in the hammock. So far, no noticed cold-spots.

So far this thing is TOASTY down to 35 with us both in it. I sleep hot, she sleeps cold. We use a 6oz primaloft one TQ that i made a while back.

    Cost: $90

    Materials:
    climashield apex from thru-hiker.com

1.1 oz ripstop nylon from rockywoods.com

25ft of 1/8 in shock cord from REI

4 of those spring loaded cord lock things from REI

    Dimensions:
    55" x 85" finished

Right at 2 lbs :-) not as light as down or PL1, but DEFINITELY easier to work with.

It will be interesting to see how low you can take that 5 oz layer of CS! If every thing else is just right with the quilt and fit, I'm betting well into the 20s or a bit lower, and soaking fog won't ever be a big problem for that quilt.
