    Video: Nagano Japan Hike

    Hey,
Did a short video of a hike I took up in Nojiri, an area of Nagano, Japan (think winter olympics). It was fun, but really cold. I learned a lot on this trip, not the least of which was to start creating a lighter pack load (moving into the ultralight realm now). Carrying 60lbs was really no fun as you can probably tell by the look on my face

Nice video. Neat to see the area. Want to see some Tenkara fishing over there some time.

Thanks for the video. Japan is somewhere I've always wanted to go. Any suggestions on where to check out if I ever get out there?

Nice video, thanks for posting. I wish we had more piney woods like that here in Okinawa! Most of the trees bend here or are too densely together.

And not to mention the Giant Wood Spiders that live in those trees *shiver*. I dont recall seeing too many places to hang out in the sticks either. Could possibly go up to (now I forget the name), the MCCS Beach resort up towards the northern end of the island. I did some tent camping up there a few times before I got into hammocks. I do remember some bigger and more spread out trees up there.
