    I'm Not a Hammock Camper Wana-Be, I'm Hammock Camper Gonna-Be

Hello all, My name is Curt. I go by Laochri all over the net, and I think hammocks are fun. I remember laying in a hammock when I was a kid, although it was the old rope weave style. I have recently discovered Shug's YouTube channel. I figured it might enhance my camping experience. I don't care for car camping, I am really not all that comfortable in a tent on the ground. I have made a gathered end hammock out of rip-stop nylon, but I have no trees in my back yard (or at least in a good spot). So I am waiting to go up in the hills. I am a rock climber and have slept on a Portaledge which in essence is a hammock in a frame attached to the side of the rock.

Can't wait to go on a Hammock Camp. See you in the trees.

Welcome to the HFs Curt. You could likely teach us a thing or two about chock placement for a hammock hang...
