Yea I like the cramped feeling I sleep curled up any way so I think it would be fine. I've herd of guys over 6'1that didn't have an issue with the expidition. What's the size difference?

The expedition is rated for 250lbs and 6'0 tall. Explorer is rated for 300lbs and 7'0 tall.

I'm pretty much the same size as you (6'1, 235 lbs) and loving my explorer.

I'd suggest that you put your explorer up for sale on the for sale forums here. Use the money from that to buy an Expedition.

Nothing wrong with knowing what you want, and someone else will get some benefit out of your choices as well.

Wish I had the money on hand, I'd try to work out a deal with you on the Explorer for my oldest son. He tried sleeping in a GT Skeeter Beeter and it looked like a foot long hot dog in a regular sized bun!

Not trying to steer you away from a BB, but I don't think they're smaller, right? Don't they have about the same amount of "room" if not more? You know, you don't have to stake out the explorer if you want to feel wrapped up. I recently went to a Claytor hammock that barely has enough room for me (on the diagonal) - if it weren't much more weight, I'd be taking the Explorer. Although, I must say that I like being able to see out without lifting my head.

I'll trade you for a byer moskito hammock.
i'll even throw in a guide gear 16x16 tarp and some homemade webbing and toggles!
But really, I will if you are dying for a smaller hammock!

My brother has an expedition n I felt like i was too big for it. I placed an order for a wbbb for that reason.

Ever try your Explorer and not using the tie outs?
I rarely use the tie outs on mine now.. I prefer how it hugs me that way.
    Just curious.
