    Zing it

I just made a new set of guylines and a ridgeline for my trap. Made it out of 2.2 zing it I plan on using 1.75 zing it for the Purrsiks.

Has anyone tried this? Did you have any problems?

Im worried about the purssiks no holding

I use this combination and it works well. It gets better after the line is worn in a little. If you have any problems at first, add a fourth wrap on your prusik or use the Klemheist that I prefer.

Prusiks work great for my set up. I have dutch hooks on some prusik loops to secure my tarp and also use soft shackle prusiks I made for other various things like securing gear to other lines.

I too a interested in zig-it. For reference, how does it compare with Trip Tease for durability, weight, and ability to hold knots. I am under the impression that it is slicker.

It is slippery by design, but more wraps on your prusik knots can overcome that.

Yellow zing it (1.75mm) here w/ 1.2mm tech line prusiks girth hitched to shock cord loops at the tie outs. Prefer zing-it to spectra/trip tease because I like to splice fixed loops in the end for use w/ stakes or stick toggles, cleaner and less tangle prone than adjustable hitches or bowlines.

I tour & bike camp with a Mark Nobilette built Protovelo, and ride a bunch of others. Have any bike questions?

it works well for me, however I found a kleimheist knot worked better for me. YMMV.
