Looking good, how does it feel ?
Feels great. About to go to sleep already. I noticed earlier some sunlight coming through my tarp. Had to duct tape it. I hope it holds.
excellent! Great to see someone rocking the blue poly tarp.
How much did you end up spending and what is your insulation?
You're an inspiration to budget hangers everywhere!
my hammock gear weights total: 2430g (~86oz)
Winter: total 2521 (~89oz)
(see my profile for detailed weights)
gram counter, not gram weenie!
The blue tarp was salvaged from a ozark trail canopy I had. I got it at dirt cheap for $10. The fabric was $4.99 yard 4 yards. Two colors. I think the supply bill from fabric.com was $63. That was the thread. I ordered 8 yards of red 8 yards of gray but only got 6 yards of gray. The didn't have 8. I plan on doing more projects with the fabric. That's why I got so much. I rough guess with everything would be about $80. I don't have insulation. I do have a sleep pad and blanket. The blanket is wet though because I put the wrong top on my platypus and it spilled in the hammock. Lol. It's pretty warm here in Alabama. I will see if I need any insulation tonight.
looks good, I like it!
Looks great! Almost identical to an ENO at first glance...

Thanks everybody. The material is crinkle nylon. It is very much like an eno I guess. The eno doesn't have the defensive bear seams though.
