    strap help?

    hey guys last week end i went camping with a few buddys i have the eno slap strap pro straps when i hung my hammock it was about three feet off the ground once i was lying in it when i woke up i was substantially lower plooy a good foot or so off the ground what am i doing wrong???

    slap straps are noted for their stretching. Trade them out with better straps.

    any suggestion on a brand i like how easy it is to just wrap them around a tree and the have the little loops to just attach the hammock with a biener

    I've never played with them, but looking at the specs I'd say the problem is that they are nylon. Nylon will stretch and isn't really recommended for suspension because of that. Personally I use poly seat belt straps from strapworks and love them, did the sowing for the loops myself though.

    If you don't have the option of sowing Strapworks will do it for you for a price. There are also several cottage venders that have plenty of options.

    Look at the ones on the Kammok site. Think they are poly. They are made similar to the slap strap.

    nice thanks guys the kammock ones seem like they will do the trick it says there UV treated polyester tubular webbing i take it thats the stuff that doesnt stretch

    That would be correct. Poly might stretch some but nothing like the eno's.
