+1 on the figure 8. I use mesh skins on my tarp so I roll the tarp up (more like stuffing it) and make sure the lines are rolled inside it (so only the tarp skin is "out") then just pull the skins over then. Take loose the lines and stuff all that in the outter pocket of the tarp.

Khmm, I have only one tarp, the MacCat Ultra, and to be more precise, I leave at the tarp itself only two tarp to tree lines and rigging it in V style. Thanks for this idea to Dejoha and his great illustrations on rigging the tarp without any hardware. Of course using tautline hitch from here.
This makes rigging the tarp a blast! Nice to see that someone likes my idea.

I like the idea of flipping the guy lines up and rolling the tarp up from the corner to store into the snakeskins as SteelerNation showed, and Roadrunnr72 described. I was just stuffing it into the snakeskins into a tangly lumpy bundle. This makes so much more sense. Thanks guys. Now my forehead is stinging from slapping it! 

I leave them on. When tearing down camp I just stuff everything back in the bag. When I get home I always air out my gear. At that time I'll do the figure eight wrap with the lines and secure them with a few wraps and half hitch.
