    I like the phoenix personally because it's longer and wider for only a few ounces more.

    Had the Yeti, switched to the Phoenix and it works better for me. It's wider and longer, which for me being 6'-6" tall is a better option. The new suspension on the Phoenix is, in my opinion, much better. I will say I never had a problem with my Yeti, just like the Phoenix a bit more.

    I could cope with the shorter length yeti with just a longer footpad. For me the big thing is the width of the phoenix. You can't add width if you need it. I tried another cottage UQ that was narrower and had shoulder coverage issues when I moved each time. That 5" wider might as well be 10' for the difference it makes.
