    On the murmur cant you just fold it and replace the sit pad that it comes with for pack support ?

    I'm also interested to find out how well it insulates. If slipped between a double layer hammock, how low can I go with just top insulation?

    I have trimmed mine down to my body shape by laying corner to corner, tracing my body leaving about 6" over hang, then cutting it out. This will take out a lot of the bulk and it will lay flatter in your hammock. It can then be folded in half and rolled. This stuff is tough you can roll it as tight as you want and compress it as hard as you want. your not going to hurt it. Then it's just a mater of taking some paracord and securing it to the outside of your pack, I put mine under
