    Attn Norcal. Tree strap length?

    What size tree straps does everyone carry up here? Currently I carry 6' ones and they are always way too long. Thinking of cutting back to 42" ones.

    Unless you end up hanging from something like I showed here:

    chances are good that 42 would work. You could carry a couple of Amsteel extensions, just in case. Would make it lighter than longer straps.

    I carry 6 footers. Usually too long but last weekend one of the trees I hung from I needed the full 6. Sure I could use extensions but kind of a hassle for me. I'll stick with the 6' ers.
