Anyone using only DIY gear? I am thinking this is my ultimate SUL goal. Would you mind sharing your gear lists? I have most things thought out but looking for more ideas.

Ground=Cold+Hard+Wet
Solution!!!! Sleep in a TREE
I'm pretty much there with hammock, suspension, quilts and hammock covers. I made my own tarp but I must confess that I use my MacCat Spinnaker tarp the most.
My two reasons for going this route is that it's fun and it's light.

"Life is a Project!"
Everything is DIY.
1. Suspension is a modified bearchaser system
2. Gathered end single layer nylon hammock
3. tarp out of an unknown fabic from WM w/ DIY sil
4. weather shield undercover of same fabric w/ attached polyester insulation
on the diagonal ( prototype, reworking this summer)
5. 3 layer TQ w/ footbox; fleece, poly quilt, windbreaker
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
