So I'm going camping tomorrow, and I just realized my hammock straps are gone after I forgot to remove them from trees the other dayI already have webbing in the mail, but I need a way to suspend my hammock tomorrow. I'm using whoopie slings.
So can anybody suggest a suspension method that I'd be able to put together on short notice, that would get me hanging tomorrow? I'd hate to have to sleep on the ground. Thanks!
Grab a set of 10 ft ratchet straps at home depot (where I got mine), lowes or harbor freight. Look for 400 lb working load. Should be about $10. Using the part without the ratchet, cut off the steel hook and sub in a carabiner or just loop it through itself. MSH with a trail stick and your good.

Harbor Freight has a deal on a pair of 12' straps (non-ratcheting) for like $4.00. The listed working load is low because it has a cheap connection (not used for us hangers) but the strap appears to be the same as the 400# working load ratcheting strap. And they are bright yellow so hard to leave them attached if you look at your camp sight before leaving.
