I'm using one right now until I decide which lighter, bigger, different shape tarp I want. On diagonal mode it sure takes some wide open tree areas to stretch it out. I passed up quite a few nicer spots last weekend cause I needed more than 15 ft. to get her hung.

I've got the Noah 12 man is it huge. But I like it only messed with it, haven't slept under it yet.

Just got mine in the mail. Any of those nice illustrations to show how to hook it up with the included Figure 9's? I kind of got it setup but it feels like I could be doing something better. Maybe need to rig up a continuous ridgeline?

I just got a 9 as well. I will be using it this coming weekend so I will report back on my thoughts. I believe they should have put tie outs in the middle of all 4 sides. I may be doing that myself at some point.

i found this out this evening. Its like a Hennessy monsoon with blast doors. I dont know how long the ridge line would hold up but if it was all you had it would work great, i think? Just have the true ridge line of the tarp in the direction you would lay in your hammock and you have plenty of foot and head room.

I used a 9 for over a year with an ENO DN and it worked great. The trick in storms is to go low and take out the long ends to the ground. I like the air it lends when it's hot but it kinda obstructs the view. I never used a ridge line with it, I just tied the ends to the trees using a taught line hitch knot, but Z-9's or Dutch Flyz work well too.

I have a 9 and a 12 (for winter). They are practically bullet proof - a great value. You never worry when lending it to a noob; very user friendly and fool proof.

Quick question if I may, I just got the 12 but haven't opened it yet. Will it need silicon sealant on the stitching?

    Thanks!
