It was a fun experiment. Sleeping with a clear view of the sky was awesome.

I'm not good with grommets, but I would get some heavy duty ones and suggest reinforcing the grommet sites pretty well.

I'd suggest ditching the grommets and making tie outs of duct tape/gorrila tape instead.

Wow, I love this tarp, too! Looks great! Did you only use the fiberglass tape to join the two liners? No other adhesive or sealer?

The fiberglass tape is all you need.

HERUMPH, I just spent $ on buying some very light silnylon to make a tarp that is light and airy, not so dark as what I already own. I never would have thought of a shower curtain.

Your project is great. I am so pleased that you posted it. Thank You.

Yep, ditch those grommets. They are always the weakest link. Use tape and D rings or just the pebble in the corner trick and tie off that way.

Gorilla or Duct makes a clear duct tape, I used it to tape the seams of one of our old scout tents, strong as all heck to. I'd ditch th grommets and make tabs as everyone suggested. Has anyone tried sewing the tape down for extra strength?
