108" is VERY short only 9ft you would have to be ok using the included suspension system of looping over the metal and hooking on the side of the pole. I would be hesitant to do that with our typical hammocks at 10ft, I think it would abrade the nylon or cause shear stress.
Nice design on redirecting the load stresses at the uprights.
This has me thinking on a suspension style that will bring my original Myan back out of the closet!
