I did see someone else on here from London who didn't have a hammock yet. Maybe he has one now? Also, my brother hangs, but he just went to college at UK. Speaking of, I could use his underquilt haha!
You haven't bought her a hammock yet?

I have a WBBB and a Hennesy Expedition. Ultimately, she'd like a blackbird, but we'll work with what we have for now.

I'm going camping with some friends tomorrow morning and I decided a couple of weeks ago that I wanted to give hanging a shot so I picked up a Skeeter Beater UL to try it out. Went on a retreat last weekend and used it as a test run since if I failed, there were cabins I could use. It was great, although I wasn't equipped for what 60 feels like in a hammock vs. a tent. Extra clothes got me through it.

I know it's not specifically a KY hang but there is a group forming up right now for a hang at Big South Fork on the TN side.

Time for some quilts if your going to hang in the fall/winter. Sadly the Big South Fork trip is on my weekend to work.

Ya, I was under the mistaken belief that this hammock camping was supposed to be cheap.

I've got a pretty good sleeping bag that I will try to use as a top quilt. I'm going to try to make it through this winter with a pad and some extra clothes until I can save up the money for a nice quilt set.

That's too bad about the BSF trip. Work just gets in the way of all the fun.

Unofficially my son and I are going to do the Sheltowee Trace from there at 192-1193 to Cumberland Falls over three days 14-16.
