HELP: DIY hammock w/ built-in bugnet

I want to make a DIY hammock with a built-in bugnet and am looking for a pattern, or just a simple explanation of the shape/size I need to attach a permanent bugnet to it.

I would also like to have the bugnet go over the ridgeline if possible.

I will likely make an entrance similar to the HH hammocks.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

Do a zipper, they are not that hard.
Know your hammocks total overall length, lets say 120" for an example.
And lets say your hammock rl is 100".

The centerline of your netting must be 100" + seam allowances.
And your side dimensions of your net must equal 120" + seam allowances.

Undo your hammock suspension, and lay out the fabric flat for sewing, double check the overall length. Pin netting and zipper as needed.

Zipper will be 120-ish" as well (you can fold and tack the zipper to prevent the zipper pull from escaping). Your net can be cut in a diamondish shape or a parrallelagram (tilted square/diamond) depending on if you want a footbox/head end look to your hammock, probably the best or most popular choice, aka the asym netted hammock.

You can use a rolled hem or some grosgrain to hide the raw edges of netting/fabric.

Sew zipper to one of the long edges of the netting.
Sew other long side of net to hammock.
Sew zipper side to hammock body.
Adjust zipper pull around sewing foot as needed to ease the process. Keep the two sections of the zipper connected during the sewing process, so the teeth align correctly.
A zipper foot for your sewing machine can be helpful, but you can squeek by w/o one if your patient and careful.

Same steps/math apply to a bottom entry, 'cept skip the zipper.

Reinstall rl and re-whip the ends.
