    Sewing is above my current paygrade! But if you search the DIY section there are a number of examples. And I have been interested in a couple of the designs. There is one that has a gap wide enough to slide a pad into in the middle of the long sides. PM me if you want to meet. I will be out of town next week but could meet the following week.

    The tablecloth is a bit heavy for backpacking if you double layer it. Fine for car camping.
    If you intend to backpack, a double layer 1.1 nylon seconds, in foliage gray or olive green, from www.DIYGearSupply.com would be a better option and still economical.
