Congrats Mike, You're set up for winter with the 12, and the 9 is handy & a fast set-up for warm weather.

I have the Hex Fly coming with the Hennessey Explorer. Think that will handle the duties of what the 9 would have? I'm hoping the 12 will handle my bag and bike at a camp site. Can't neglect my steed you know. <grin>

I have no experience with Hennessy tarps and all I know is I've heard they are minimal. The KNT 12 will prob work with your bike OK though. I have a Chinook 12X9.5 for a hammock & my bike. But sometimes wish it were the 14X12 for 2 bikes.

You're not gonna wait until Monday to play with that new tarp are ya?! It's a rainy morning here, what a perfect time to test!

Rather not wait but the one thing I do lack is tree's.. I have none. The tornado's that went right up the river-valley last year took care of them. The easiest option is to toss them both in the kayak on Tues (get tent when I get home on Mon), paddle up to a little camping area a mile or so up the stream then play with them in the trees. It's good to live just off the water. <grin>
