Well I watched the videos in the sticky section and decided to use 30" of paracord (I know it will stretch but it's what I had on hand and free beats paying in my book) hooked to 2 solid rings from Lowes (rated at 264# each). I ran that threw the channel and over the rings to gather the end. While I was at Lowes I found a pair of cinch straps rated at 500# each. I cut the heavy S-hook off the end and put in a quick link rated at 300#.

So my plan is to run the strap around the tree and back to the rings making an adjustable suspension for my hammock. Tried it out and really like it! Now to find a skeeter net as they tore me up while I was testing everything out. Thoughts and suggestions appreciated!

    Brian,

Austin Kayak has ENO Guardian bug nets for $46.00 with free shipping. The best price on them I have found so far.
